Grade 9 titanium tube
Ti-3Al-2.5V seamless tube for hydraulic lines and heat exchangers.
Grade 9 sits between commercially pure and Grade 5: stronger than the pure grades, more formable than Ti-6Al-4V, and the standard choice for aircraft hydraulic lines.
Why it is used for hydraulics
The combination of strength and cold formability lets a line be bent to shape without heat treatment, which matters when a hydraulic run has to follow a structure rather than the other way round.
